The Oxford Centre for Korean Studies, in collaboration with the Korean Education Centre in the UK, is delighted to launch the first Korean Literature Translation Masterclass at the University of Oxford.
Led by Professor Jieun Kiaer (University of Oxford) and Deborah Smith, the award-winning translator of The Vegetarian by Han Kang, winner of the 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature, this intensive three-day workshop offers a rare opportunity to explore Korean literature through guided reading, discussion, and hands-on translation practice.
