The recital explores how composers transformed popular melodies and courtly forms into increasingly expressive and virtuosic works, reflecting shifting ideas of love, longing, melancholy, and desire, revealing a musical landscape at a threshold. Jess Norton Raybould is a portfolio musician in Oxford. She has a busy career as a freelance singer, conductor and producer. Notable performances include with the Dunelm Consort, DU Concert Opera and at the London Early Music Festival.
