The ‘Where Are We At’ (WAWA) Symposium brings together scholars in the vibrant subfields of women’s, gender, and queer histories, with a lively sense of their overlap, their contributions to theory and method, and the tensions and promise in considering them together.

More specifically, the Symposium is a two-day-long event that offers postgraduate and early-career researchers a dedicated space to articulate emerging research questions, receive constructive feedback, and situate their work within wider historiographical and methodological debates. The programme combines panels, individual presentations, and pre-circulated papers, encouraging methodological reflection, interdisciplinary dialogue, and experimentation with diverse forms of scholarly communication.

There will also be informal networking and special events, allowing scholars of various career stages and disciplines to come together.
