This session will cover:
• How Nextflow works
• Why to use Nexflow
• Writing your first Nextflow pipeline
• Walkthrough of a (variant annotation) pipeline

The learning objectives are to:
• Understand what a Nextflow channel and process is
• Understand how Nextflow can be applied to your work
• Understand why pipelines are good to use

Pre requisites:
Understand how to use the command line

Intended audience: Anyone interested in using pipelines for their bioinformatics work and are considering Nextflow

Participants will need:
BYOD with nextflow installed and working (can run the line ‘nextflow -version’ on terminal)
Duration: presentation and practical workshop/exercises

Software required: Nextflow and dependencies (java), highly recommend VSCode installed
