Friday, 5 June 2026 to Saturday, 6 June 2026, 12am - 12am

Oxford Migration Studies Society is excited to announce our 2026 annual conference, "Migration, Justice, and the Making of Futures", a hybrid conference taking place on the 5th and 6th of June 2026 at Green Templeton College and St Antony's College, Oxford.

“Migration, Justice, and the Making of Futures”, explores how refugees, migrants, displaced communities, and their allies reimagine understandings of justice, care, and collective futures.
What does it mean to imagine more just futures for migrants in an era of increasingly hostile governance institutions, political contexts, and cultural attitudes?

Featuring panels on:
• Alternative Infrastructures of Care and Belonging
• Beyond Environmental Determinism: Reconceptualizing Climate (Im)mobility
• Community-based Research and 'Migration'
• Disparate Futures: Differential Migratory Outcomes among Social Subgroups
• Epistemological Justice
• How States Disappear Migrants
• Indigeneity and Migration
• Re-negotiating Identity and Social Position through Art
