Sovereignty and Its Discontents (SAID) is an interdisciplinary workshop that centers around emerging critical and historical scholarship in International Relations and Politics. The purpose of the workshop is to promote rich theoretical discussions on the limits and subjectivities of sovereignty through perspectives of political, racial, gendered, and historical ideas and practices.
Our sessions will be on Wednesdays (Week 1,3,5,7) beginning on 29/4/2026 from 4-6PM at Seminar Room B, Manor Road Building. In week 5, Deanndre Chen will present on "Food sovereignty movements and critical approaches to International Relations" and Joseph Ward will present on "An Activist's Anticolonial Federation."
