Addressing threats to the rule of law in contemporary Israel and Poland this event will take the form of short presentations on the situation in the two countries and a moderated discussion between Professor Marek Safjan, University of Warsaw, a distinguished Polish lawyer and quondam Judge of the Court of Justice of the European Union (https://www.mareksafjan.eu/biography/) and Professor Eli Salzberger, University of Haifa, an eminent Israeli lawyer who leads the Minerva Centre for the Rule of Law under Extreme Conditions (Eli Salzberger - Wikipedia).
