DESCRIPTION:The session will highlight the Seattle Alzheimer’s Disease B
rain Cell Atlas (SEA-AD)\, along with complementary resources for Parkinso
n’s disease and broader efforts to build comprehensive human and mammali
an brain atlases. Participants will learn how these openly available datas
ets can be used to explore gene expression patterns across brain cell type
 s\, investigate disease-associated cellular changes\, identify vulnerable
cell populations\, and generate new biological hypotheses. \n\nThe seminar
will conclude with a hands-on discussion of data portals\, analytical too
ls\, and strategies for accessing\, integrating\, and applying Allen Insti
tute resources in ongoing research projects. This will take place from 10:
 30am – 11:30am.
