DESCRIPTION:Bio:\nProf Quint leads the Respiratory Electronic Health Recor
 d group\, a clinical epidemiology research group whose interests centre on
  using various sources of de-identified\, routinely collected electronic h
 ealthcare records to study a number of respiratory diseases including chro
 nic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)\, asthma\, interstitial lung dise
 ase\, bronchiectasis and most recently COVID-19. Work centres on maximisin
 g the quality\, linkage and usage of these data for clinical and research 
 purposes. Research topics include understanding the relationship between c
 ardiovascular and respiratory disease\, respiratory disease prevention\, d
 iagnosis\, natural history and management. Many of the outputs are used fo
 r informing policy\, and in the planning and allocation of resources.\n\nS
 he is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and the Royal College of Ph
 ysicians. She leads NHSEngland's Respiratory Data Strategy and is the Asso
 ciate Director for the HDR UK A+LUK Respiratory Data Catalyst. She partner
 s with the Royal College of Physicians where she is the Analysis Lead for 
 the National Respiratory Audit Programme and is co-lead of the HDR UK Infl
 ammation and Immunity Driver Program. She currently serves as joint Editor
 -in-chief of the journal Thorax.\n\nProf Quint is a Deputy Director (Acade
 mic) of the Early Career Researcher Institute (ECRI)\, leads several Resea
 rch Portfolios on the Global Masters in Public Health and is involved in t
 eaching and supervising projects across MBBS\, and Masters programmes.\n\n
