DESCRIPTION:Professor Rong Fan is the Harold Hodgkinson Professor of Biome
 dical Engineering and of Pathology at Yale University. He earned his Ph.D.
  in Chemistry from the University of California\, Berkeley\, and completed
  postdoctoral training at the California Institute of Technology before jo
 ining Yale in 2010.\n\nProf. Fan’s research focuses on developing single
 -cell and spatial multi-omics technologies to map the transcriptome\, epig
 enome\, proteome\, and metabolome directly in human tissues. He pioneered 
 deterministic barcoding in tissue (DBiT) for spatial multi-omics\, introdu
 ced spatial epigenomics methods\, and recently developed Patho-DBiT for co
 mprehensive RNA profiling in archival FFPE clinical specimens.\n\nHis work
  has been recognised with the NSF CAREER Award\, the Packard Fellowship fo
 r Science and Engineering\, and the NCI Howard Temin Career Transition Aw
 ard\, among others. He is an elected fellow of AIMBE\, CASE\, and the Nati
 onal Academy of Inventors\, and is a co-founder of IsoPlexis\, Singleron B
 iotechnologies\, and AtlasXomics.
