DESCRIPTION:Anthony Vernon is a non-clinical Professor of Neuropsychopharm
 acology at the Institute of Psychiatry\, Psychology and Neuroscience\, Kin
 g’s College London. He specialises in neuropsychopharmacology and neurod
 evelopment\, working in both the Department of Basic and Clinical Neurosci
 ence and the MRC Centre for Neurodevelopmental disorders. His research foc
 uses on a combined use of cross-species neuroimaging approaches and human 
 in vitro models that recapitulate key aspects of brain development and cel
 lular functions\, to study disease mechanisms and therapeutic responses in
  the context of neuropsychiatric disorders. He holds a PhD in Neuropharmac
 ology from Imperial College London and is also Honorary Skou Professor at 
 the Translational Neuropsychiatry Unit\, Department of Clinical Medicine\,
  Aarhus University.
