DESCRIPTION:Join Professor Malcolm Airs for this illustrated talk to explo
 re the history of Nuneham House and Park from its purchase by the Harcourt
  family in 1712 down to the present day. Nuneham Park and the village of N
 uneham Courtenay are of national importance\, and Malcolm's lecture will h
 ighlight why. \n\nMalcolm will explain its significance and cover the chan
 ges it has undergone over the centuries\, along with some of the challenge
 s it will face in the future.  Particular attention will be paid to the ho
 use\, the church of All Saints\, the design of the surrounding landscape a
 nd the need to protect the planned uniformity of the transplanted village.
  \n\nRefreshment will be available and copies of Professor Malcolm Airs an
 d Geoffrey Tyack's book on the subject will be available to purchase. \n\n
 Funds from this talk will go towards repairs at All Saints' church\, inclu
 ding the church door\, and to the restoration of the carpet used for the c
 oronation of King Edward VII at Westminster Abbey\, part of which runs the
  length of All Saints' church.
