  motivations behind the Digital Correspondence of Catherine the Great (kno
 wn as CatCor)\; provide an overview of the history of this resource and it
 s structure and functions\; and demonstrate its functionality as a resourc
 e and scope for development. The speaker\, Professor Andrew Kahn\, is the 
 original PI on the project who worked closely from its origins with Profes
 sor Kelsey Rubin-Detlev\, the current co-PI.
