 he Royal Air Force Slessor Fellow at SST-CCW.  She is a Military Psycholog
 ist focused on the readiness to fight. After commencing her career as an a
 cademic psychologist and statistical consultant\, Sarah became the first d
 edicated Submarine Psychologist to serve in uniform in any naval force in 
 the world and the first military psychologist to serve in combat operation
 s in the maritime environment when she served as Maritime Task Group Psych
 ologist during Gulf War II.\n\nSarah is a keynote speaker and published au
 thor of over twenty articles and book chapters on the science of human beh
 aviour\, culture change and performance in the military\, She specialises 
 in performance optimisation of individuals and teams in Isolated\, Confine
 d and Extreme (ICE) environments\, with expertise in leadership and influe
 nce in multidomain\, multiagency and multijurisdictional environments\; ps
 ychosocial resilience\; decision-making\; and individual differences predi
 ctive of resilience and performance under pressure.\n\nA former Non-Execut
 ive Director of Standing Joint Forces Command\, Sarah routinely consults t
 o the UK Ministry of Defence\, NATO and industry\, delivering keynotes\, l
 ectures\, workshops and providing policy advice on delivering personnel ca
 pability at scale. She is a Visiting Lecturer at the Defence Academy of th
 e United Kingdom\, Baltic Defence College and the NATO Defense College. As
  a Royal Air Force Slessor Fellow\, Sarah will be examining critical incid
 ent and ‘least worst’ decision making in a digital age characterised b
 y autonomy\, speed and the use of artificial intelligence\, with a particu
 lar focus on the nuclear context.
