DESCRIPTION:Public and community engagement is vital in making bigger diff
 erences — strengthening research\, building trust and delivering meaning
 ful benefits for society.\n \nThis one-day conference will explore how res
 ponsible and purposeful engagement can make bigger differences in society 
 locally\, nationally and globally. Bringing together University academic a
 nd professional staff\, researchers and members of the local community\, t
 he conference will provide a space to explore Oxford’s engagement landsc
 ape\, share knowledge and build meaningful connections. Attendees can hope
  to learn from inspiring examples of practice\, gain insight into opportun
 ities and support for engagement at Oxford\, connect with others and leave
  with greater confidence\, understanding and readiness to engage in ways t
 hat make a bigger difference locally and beyond.\n \nWe'll explore engagem
 ent through the lens of making bigger differences\, with a focus on three 
 interconnected themes:\n \nBuilding Responsible\, Trust-Centred Engagement
  and Knowledge Exchange\nStrengthening Connections\, Collaboration and Inf
 rastructure for Impact\nEngaging for Shared Learning\, Inclusion and Local
  Impact\n \nWe’re looking for contributors to deliver exciting and engag
 ing sessions on all things public and community engagement with research.
