Genetic and Epigenetic Regulation of Synovial Fibroblasts in Rheumatoid Arthritis
Audience: Member of University - ALL Format: In PersonMonday, 20 July 2026, 12pm to 1pm
This seminar will present recent advances in our understanding of the genetic and epigenetic regulation of synovial fibroblasts in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The role of DNA methylation and chromatin organisation in shaping pathogenic fibroblast phenotypes will be discussed, and the role of RA genetic risk loci in altering fibroblast functions will be explored. Finally, emerging approaches for identifying functional regulatory elements and candidate therapeutic targets will be discussed, providing a broad perspective on the genetic and epigenetic drivers of fibroblast activation in RA.
