The Latin American Centre at OSGA, ODID and St Antony's college are organising an event in honour of Rosemary Thorp.

Thursday, 11 June 2026, 5pm to 6.30pm

Rosemary was a member of the University of Oxford between 1971 and 2008 where she became a unique contributor to Latin American Studies. Rosemary was director of the Latin American Centre three times as well as head of the Oxford Department of International Development. An active member in St Antony's College, she was particularly interested on Peru and wrote extensively on economic history, economic transformation, public policy and inequalities.

The event will take place on Thursday 11 June from 5 to 6.30 in the Nissan Lecture Theatre (St Antony's College). Please join us to hear contributions from former students and colleagues and to celebrate Rosemary's work. The event will be chaired by the Warden of St Antony's, Roger Goodman.
